The department wants as good applicants as possible, hence there are no restrictions on the research topic, as long as the candidate works within one of the department’s research areas, cf. the department’s web pages with an overview of its research groups: http://www.idi.ntnu.no/about/groups.php. The selection of the candidates will partly be based on the allocation of fellowships between the various sections / research groups.
Final year Master students are especially encouraged to apply. PhD appointment of these applicants may be done immediately after completion of the MSc-degree.
