Summer School: Hungarian Language and Culture at the University of Pécs

*Dear All,*

There are surely some of you who do not remember my name anymore but I have your email address because you attended one of the /Hungarian Language and Culture Summer Winter University / programs or semester language courses organized by the International Studies Center in Pécs, Hungary, and I was one of your teachers or the one who organized the course. Besides that there are some of you whom I know because you have spent some time in Pécs or whom I got to know through my work.

The reason I am writing you now is to draw your attention to the* scholarship opportunities *that have been* *offered for the tenth, jubilee */Hungarian Language and Culture Summer University, 2009/* by the Town Hall of Pécs and the County Hall of Pécs*/./* The deadline for application for both of the scholarships is *3 June, 2009* (posting date) so if you are interested, you still have some time to work on the application.

The *scholarship offered by the Town Hall of Pécs* (5 grants) covers the tuition fee of the four week long programme (26 July -- 23 August, 2009). The *scholarship offered by the County Hall of Pécs* (15 grants) provides financial support that covers part of the tuition fee of either the two week long or the four week long programme (10 grants of 50.000 HUF for 2 weeks and 5 grants of 100.000 HUF for 4 weeks). As for the details of the scholarships and the Calls for Application, please, have a look at our website on the following direct link: http://isc.feek.pte.hu/menu/70/22.

I would be grateful if you could forward this email to your acquaintances and friends (or university professors, faculties, departments, etc.) because they might be interested in the scholarship opportunities, too, and they might want to join us on the jubilee celebration of the Summer University. Moreover, Pécs is going to be the European Capital of Culture in 2010 and that could also be a good reason to visit the town. I hope that more and more people will do so, and those of you who have been here before are always welcome! Come back to see us and Pécs!

For any further information, please, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for forwarding my email to anyone interested in the programme and I hope to see you (again) in Pécs,

Ani
