CEI International Summer School, University of Bologna, Cervia

Following a well-established yearly tradition, the *Istituto per l’Europa Centro-Orientale e Balcanica *of the University of Bologna is organizing the sixteenth edition of the CEI International Summer School for postgraduate students from Eastern Europe and the European Union. The Summer School is a feature event of the Central European Initiative and will take place in the picturesque town of Cervia on the Adriatic coast, Italy, between Monday Sept. 6th and Friday Sept. 17th. Didactic activities will include 70 hours of lectures, seminars and workshops supplemented with interdisciplinary events to better enable students to deeply analyse selected topics of politics and economics related to the international dimension and role of
the European Institutions, potential cooperation with the New Neighbourhood Eastwards, and interregional relations in south-eastern Europe.

The Summer School will offer 2 different courses, corresponding to 2 main study areas:

1. *Diversity Management, Governance and Civil Society (Course A)*
2. *Sustainable Development, Green Economy and Civil Society (Course B)*

The students whose overall performance is positively evaluated will receive a certificate endorsed by the University of Bologna, yielding 6 ECTS points. The minimum qualification required for candidates’ admission is a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Politics, Economics, Law, Philosophy, Social Sciences, Agrarian Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Literature and Communication Sciences. Interested students can apply by sending the *application form*, their *curriculum vitae* and a *recommendation letter* by one of the professors at the university they attended by e-mail to Ms Dessislava Krasteva. *The application deadline is: June 20th*.

*Scholarships covering all expenses* (travel and full board accommodation) are available for applicants belonging to civil society organizations based in the following countries: Albania, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turchia, Kosovo.
