Postdoc (1 year), Department of Computing and Software at McMas

The Formal Requirements and Information Security Enhancement (FRAISE) and the Database research group, in the Department of Computing and Software at McMaster University, invites applications for a full-time post-doc position to start January 1, 2013. The position is for a period of 1 year (renewable). The research project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between database and information security researchers and economics researchers. The project aims to develop methods for cleaning enterprise-level micro-data and making it widely accessible for a class of users in a secure manner. ** Eligible candidates must have a broad set of skills, including: * Experience in theory and practice of databases * Familiar with formal methods * An understanding of current issues in system security ** Required: * Ph.D. in Computer Science, in Software Engineering or Databases, or in a related area. * Strong communications skills. ** Preferred: * Economics background. * Experience in leading a (small) team of people.
