Internship duration: Minimum 3 months and maximum 11 months
Cervantes Escuela Internacional. The company is a Spanish Language School which offers Spanish courses besides other activities like sports or excursions to its students. The student will work in the Administration Department and Marketing Department of the school.
2.) She will have to do translations, documents storing, customer service, mailing, phone, market studies, answering petitions and inscriptions of the students. In general she will have to help in the Administration
Department and Marketing Department.
The student should have a fluent level of the English language as well as a good knowledge of different computer programmes.
As far as the professional development is concerned, the student will be capable to work with different computer programmes in practice, she will improve her Spanish and will know how to put her theoretical skills of Economics into good use for a company.
3.) The working language is Spanish but English is necessary, too.
4.) The working team consists of Spanish language teachers and staff (all native speakers).
5.) The student will have a supervisor named Michele Galotta who is the head of administration
There will be a person in the company who will show her how to carry out her future tasks and to whom she can refer to if she has any questions.
She will be introduced into the process of working in the mentioned departments and gets explanations.
Every once in a while the student and the tutor will have a conversation about how the trainee develops, if there are any problems at the workplace and if the student could improve something.
6.) The student will receive a job reference/certificate upon completion of the placement.

The following data workshops, sponsored by /Research Connections/ , will be offered in Ann Arbor, MI as part of the ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Science Research. *There is no fee to attend these workshops and travel stipends are available for participants interested in using these data to analyze issues related to child care and early education, including self-sufficiency. *
**Examining Child Outcomes and Well-Being in Early Care and Education Settings Data Workshop*
Dates: July 7-9, 2008*
This workshop is designed to introduce participants to key datasets that present a variety of indicators of children's well-being and influences on their early experiences, including family practices, teacher perspectives, and quality of early care and education.
The workshop will feature the latest data available from the Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey (FACES), the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Birth Cohort (ECLS-B), and the National Head Start/Public School Early Childhood Transition Demonstration Study. In addition, participants will receive a preview of data that will be available from the Head Start Impact Study (HSIS).

This workshop will introduce researchers to data from the Welfare, Children, and Families: A Three-City Study, a three-wave longitudinal survey of low-income families and children in the post-welfare reform era. The study has followed approximately 2,400 families in Boston, Chicago, and San Antonio since 1999, including a six-year follow-up wave completed in 2005.
The data files include information on families' employment histories, income, usage of TANF and other needs-based programs, health and health insurance, as well as detailed measures of children's well-being and family functioning. This workshop will be of interest to researchers studying poverty, family, child development, welfare reform, women's labor force participation and income, and/or neighborhood ecology.

• Structure and Operating: analyses of terrorist tactics, political objectives and motivations; profiles of terrorists; structure and practice of terrorist organizations; terrorist armoury and equipment; types of terrorist acts; targets and
victims of terrorism;
• Protagonists and Geopolitical Areas: A historical-geograph ical approach (Europe, Middle-East, North Africa, the Americas) and a survey at the current trends;
• Supporters and Criteria of Monitoring: dilemmas of democratic and international response; terrorism and diplomacy; the problem of state sponsorship and support; problems of international co-operation, including the use of diplomacy, international law and organisation;
• The Use of Force and Future Threats in Terrorism Worldwide: anti-terrorism and counter-terrorism, police and intelligence measures, war against terrorism; UN, NATO and Terrorism; rethinking security after Sep. 11th and possibly future threats.
Earning a Certificate of Completion from United Nations Institute for Training and Research: By the end of the course, students, who have achieved a passing grade of 75% or higher in the “Global Terrorism Course” and/or the “UN Peacekeeping and

Agris Mundus Masters course
The Agris Mundus Masters course is a two-year training programme of 120 ECTS (European Credits Transfer System) in agricutural development and management of natural resources.
The Agris Mundus Masters course objectives are to train students to cope with the current global/international concerns in agriculture and rural development. Graduates will be qualified to identify and critically analyse key factors shaping the development of crops, forests and animall production, the management of research and rural development projects and finally, the sustainable use of natural resources and the environment. They will be trained to formulate and provide effective and appropriate responses to complex agriculture and natural resources related issues.
As the result of the selection of the Agris Mundus Master course by the Erasmus Mundus programme, the European Commission provides a number of scholarships. In accordance with the rules of this programme, each of the training tracks involves one year (M1) in one institution, and one year (M2) in a second institution, the two of them being delivered in two different countries of the European Union.

Courses: "Global Terrorism" & "Peacekeeping", Dec 17-19, 2007
On December 17-19, 2007, there will be two courses taught in English at Casa Titulescu in Bucharest, Romania.The two courses are on "Global Terrorism " and on "Peacekeeping and International Conflict Resolution" and are designed for both undergraduate and graduate students of any discipline (political science,
international relations, law, etc) who want to improve their knowledge on these topics. Upon completion of the course and of the final exam, students earn a certificate from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research on the course that they pursued.
The lecturer of the two courses is Prof. Dr. Giovanni Ercolani from Nottingham Trent University (UK), an expert in the field. Prof. Giovanni Ercolani is lecturing on "Global Terrorism" and "Peacekeeping and International Conflict Resolution" on behalf of UNITARPOCI. In the past years he has taught in Turkey and at the moment in UK, Italy, Spain, and Slovenia.His courses are part of undergraduate and postgraduate programs and are attended by civilian, military, and law enforcement personnel. Earning a Certificate of Completion from United Nations Institute for Training and Research (www.unitarpoci. org): By the end of the course, and upon the payment of a nominal fee, students, who have achieved a passing grade of 75% or higher in the "UN Global Terrorism Course Final Exam", are awarded a Certificate- of-Completion from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, Programme of Correspondence, Instruction in Peacekeeping Operations.
College and ACCP Credits:
The U.S. Army Institute for Professional Development (AIPD) has reviewed UNITAR POCI Courses and determined they merit Army Correspondence Course Program (ACCP) credits. US personnel who complete UNITAR POCI courses may have these ACCP credits recorded in their US Army personnel records. UNITAR POCI Global Terrorism Course provides 54 ACCP credits.
