North Central Missouri College (NCMC) is seeking international students who would like to study in the United States in a safe and rural environment. A community college with an enrollment of 1554 students, North Central Missouri College offers associate's in arts university transfer degrees, as well as associate's in science degrees.

Students accepted to NCMC may be eligible for an International Student Scholarship to help pay for tuition or housing. The award will cover both years of study and is, on average, $750. The deadline for application is July 1, 2011.

USA: International Student Scholarships Available at East Tennessee State University

In an effort to increase international student enrollment and increase diversity on campus, East Tennessee State University introduced a merit scholarship specifically for international students. Titled the "International Students Academic Merit Scholarship," the award covers 50% of tuition for international students.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be admitted as full-time students (undergraduate or graduate) and must have a demonstrated record of academic achievement. Visiting International Student Programs at Columbia University

International students with qualifying academic records are welcome to study on a non-degree basis at Columbia University through the School of Continuing Education during the academic year and summer. Enrolling at Columbia offers access to hundreds of credit-bearing, challenging academic courses across all of the departments of the Arts and Sciences, taught by Columbia's eminent faculty.

Visiting international students study with matriculated Columbia students and are granted the use of the University's resources, including the libraries and athletic facilities. The School of Continuing Education's Office of Student Affairs provides visiting students with guidance and academic advising to help them navigate the University's academic environment.

*Undergraduate Program:*
Individuals who are currently enrolled in a bachelor's program at another college or university and are in good academic and disciplinary standing may apply as nonresidential visiting students. In order to qualify for a student visa through Columbia University, students must be enrolled full time in a program of study.

*Post-baccalaureate Studies Program:*
The Post-baccalaureate Studies program offers qualified individuals with bachelor's degrees the opportunity to take university courses for graduate school preparation or academic advancement. Working with advisers at the School of Continuing Education, each student develops a plan of study tailored to his or her background and academic goals. In order to qualify for a student visa through Columbia University,
students must be enrolled full time in a program of study. The program also offers a Business Certificate for international students during the summer, which includes English language instruction.

*Capstone Scholarship*
Students who are entering freshmen with a minimum 3.75 cumulative grade point average of a GED score of 3200 (or 320), plus a score of 28 on the ACT, or 1260 SAT, are awarded this half-tution plus $2,000 scholarship. The award is renewable with an average of 24 semester hours earned per academic year and a 3.4 grade point average in Columbia College coursework.

*Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship*
Phi Theta Kappa members transferring from community college or junior college with a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale and an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree or 60 transferable hours are eligible for this automatic award of half tuition plus $500. The scholarship is renewable for one year with a 3.2 Columbia College
cumulative GPA and 24 semester hours earned per academic year. Recipients are not eligible for the International Award. Recipients are not eligible for the International Award.

*Keystone Scholarship*
Students who are entering freshmen with a minimum 3.4 cumulative grade point average of a GED score of 2900 (or 290), plus a score of 24 on the ACT, or 1110 SAT, are awarded this half-tuition scholarship. The award is renewable with an average of 24 semester hours earned per academic year and a 3.0 grade point average in Columbia College coursework.

*Cornerstone Scholarship *
Students who are entering freshmen with a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average of a GED score of 2850 (or 285), plus a score of 22 on the ACT, or 1030 SAT, are awarded this $2,000 scholarship. The award is renewable with an average of 24 semester hours earned per academic year and a 3.0 grade point average in Columbia College coursework.

*International Excellence Scholarship*
New freshmen international students are eligible for this automatic award of half-tuition if they have: a minimum TOEFL score of 79, a minimum IELTS band score of 6.0, at least 28 on CT or 1260 on the SAT,as well as a 3.0 secondary-school cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. The award is renewable with a 3.2 Columbia College cumulative GPA an average of 24 semester hours earned annually.

*ESL Tuition Award*
A $1,000 per-semester tuition grant is available to full-time English as a Second Language (ESL) students enrolled in ESOL 100, ESOL 101, ESOL 102, ESOL 103, ESOL 104 or ESOL 105. The grant is awarded to students who are new to Columbia College and is applied during the first two semesters the student is enrolled in the ESL sequence.

*International Award*
New freshmen international students and new transfer international students are eligible for this automatic award of $1,000 if they have: a minimum TOEFL score of 71, a minimum IELTS band score of 5.5, as well as a 3.0 secondary-school cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale. New freshmen international students also are eligible if they have an ACT score of 22 or SAT score of 1030.

International Ibsen Scolarships Norwegia

The International Ibsen Scholarships were initiated in 2007 by the Norwegian government. In total, scholarship funds amount to 1,000,000 NOK (approx. 125.000 Euro/150.000 US Dollars) in 2009, and will be awarded to Ibsen-related projects worldwide.

* The international scholarships for Ibsen-related projects were established by the Norwegian parliament in relation to the central government budget for the fiscal year of 2007.

* Scholarships are awarded to individuals, organizations or institutions within the artistic and cultural community. The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen.

* In cooperation with the Skien municipality, the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs appoints a review panel responsible for awarding the scholarships. The review panel is to consist of three members, namely one female, one male and one person with non-Norwegian citizenship. Any member of the review panel must be fully competent and qualified within the cultural and artistic fields of study. Members are appointed for three years, with the possibility of another three year extension to the tenure.

* Administrative support functions for the review panel and the scholarships is the responsibility of the Skien municipality.

* Presentation of the scholarships is an integral part of the Skien International Ibsen Conference, the latter being an annual event in relation to the presentation of the International Ibsen Award.

* Scholarships are awarded based on a written application, which should arrive no later than the predetermined deadline, and which must abide by the rules set for the application procedure.

* The scholarships are accounted for by the Skien municipality, in line with generally accepted accounting principles and subject to instructions from the Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs.

* The manner in which public funds are used, is annually reported to Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs.
