Working in the Department of History, you will be required to contribute to research output and to teach and supervise students across a range of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Research and teaching covers a broad geographical and chronological range with expertise in African, Asian, British and European history.

You will have a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field and a developing track record of outstanding research and publications. You will have some experience of teaching and supervising students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Specialist interest in early modern Europe and the Islamic world, or the early modern history of the Islamic world would be desirable.
