Center for European Studies Student Forum cordially invites you to the fourth European Weekend School on 18 - 21 May at Boðaziçi University, Istanbul. EWS is an international certificate program that brings together undergraduate and graduate students from all over Europe; and enables them to exchange opinions with distinguished politicians, bureaucrats, academics, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and leading journalists.

During EWS, academics, including Jean Monnet professors, from American, European and Turkish universities will be giving a series of lectures and seminars to the participants on:

Ø "The future of the EU in alternative perspectives: theories and narratives";
Ø "The future of CFSP and ESDP";
Ø "The future of regionalism and structural funds";
Ø "Constitutional and Public Opinion Challenges to the EU"; and
Ø "Turkish accession perspectives to the EU".

There will also be a workshop during which participants will have an opportunity to put forward, debate and adopt proposals concerning the above topics as well as other related issues.

The EWS includes a social program composed of receptions, lunches, dinners, visits to museums and sight seeing in Istanbul.

The overall number of participants is expected to be around fifty including Turkish students. Priority will be given to:

Selected participants will be notified by 24 April 2006 Monday.
