The Meeting of Young People of Balkan Countries includes: Prespes Declaration, Conclusion of Youth Cooperation of Balkans, Development of Youth Interbalkan Network, Meeting of common cultural points of Balkan people, Approach of Young People through the Intercultural Dialogue and Intercultural learning activities, Participation in cultural activities such as the “Balkan Symposium” where all the Balkan Countries will present their culture, society, local traditions that characterizes each Balkan Country.

Balkan Amfiktionia – Association of Young people of Balkan Countries in cooperation with the Municipality of Prespes, Florina of Northern Greece organizes the first Interbalkan Youth Meeting of Balkan Amfiktionia:

Venue/Country: Prespes, Region of Florina, Northern Greece, Greece
Partner Countries: All the Balkan Countries as Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, FYROM, Albania, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Greece. Total 11 countries
Participants: 2 persons per Country, representatives of Youth Organizations, Institutions, Universities, Associations and Youth Clubs.
Age Group: 18 – 60
Accommodation & food: 100% will be covered by Municipality of Prespes and Balkan Amfiktionia – Association of Young People of Balkan Countries
Travel costs: Will be covered by the participants themselves or their organizations.
Local Transportation: 100% will be covered by Municipality of Prespes and Balkan Amfiktionia – Association of Young People of Balkan Countries.
Participation Fee per person: € 20
The place of the meeting, in Prespes was chosen due to its historical, geographical, geophysical position and its extraordinary natural beauty.
The date of the meeting was chosen particularly in order to be combined and related to the well known Cultural Festival of the area called “PRESPIA”.

Profile of our Association:
“BALKAN AMFIKTIONIA- ASSOCIATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE OF BALKAN COUNTRIES” is a Non Governmental, Non Profit Organization, founded in 2003, which has as purpose:
the creation and promotion of relations of trust communication and cooperation among the young people of Greece who are inspired from the idea of approximation of Balkan People and the young people as of the Balkan Countries, as of any other country of the world, who carry the same ideas,
the promotion of the idea for the development of relations of good neighbouring and peaceful coexistence of the Balkan people and the same minded people all around the world,
the respect, the search, the preservation, the promotion and advancement of historical and cultural heritage of Greece and Balkan Countries,
the development of cultural and social bondages between the Balkan people,
the elimination of the poverty and the offer of humanitarian (first needs, plus pharmaceutical) help to citizens of Balkan Countries and third world countries,
the realization of programs which protect the human- social rights and the environment,
the scientific, culture- spiritual, technological and economic support for the improvement of the social- spiritual, cultural and life’s level of the people of Balkan and third world Countries who need the above support,
While parallel “BALKAN AMFIKTIONIA- ASSOCIATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE OF BALKAN COUNTRIES” can cooperate and also be unified with larger Associations of the same kind inlands or abroad for the promotion of its purpose.
The Association pursues the achievement of its goals by every lawful and legitimate way and specifically:
by organizing offices and clubs for the communication of the members,
by organizing speeches and lectures,
by scheduling relative conventions and seminars, youth programmes, humanitarian and peace missions,
by participating in committees, conventions exhibition and shows relevant to the means of the Association,
by giving prizes and monetary awards for activities that contribute to the achievement of the means of the Association,
by financing publications with subjects relevant to the means of the Association,
by publishing informatory periodical editions in printed or electronic edition,
by using the potentiality of the new technologies for the creation of new channels of communications and cooperation,
by accomplishing harmonious cooperation with the Greek authorities, State organizations and all the qualified agencies for the promotion of the means of the Association.
The members of the Association are distinguished as Trainees and Regulars (Greek citizens, of age 18- 35) and also, as Associate and Honorary members (Alien, natives, non natives, permanent citizens of inbound, or abroad who accept the principles of the Association, independently of age).
