About GLODEM
The Center for Research on Globalization and Democratic Governance (GLODEM) officially established at Koç University, Istanbul/Turkey in September 2010 following the approval of the Council of Higher Education.
As the problems and dangers as well as opportunities facing our world are becoming more and more global in nature, there is a need for comprehensive and critical thinking on the processes of globalization and their impacts on the regional, national and local dimensions of social
interactions. The Center provides a venue for such thinking, and in doing so aims at promoting methodological and analytical creativity and excellence.
GLODEM research activities focus on three main issue areas: Global Political Economy, Democratic Governance and Foreign Policy Analysis.
