The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden is offering a: Postdoctoral Fellow
We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow under Dr. David Drechsel in the Protein Expression and Purification Facility at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, Dresden. The MPI-CBG is a highly interactive workplace and in this environment good communication skills are essential.
The qualified applicant should have solid expertise in basic molecular biology (plasmid isolation, sub-cloning, PCR). Experience in protein biochemistry, recombinant protein over-expression (in bacteria, baculovirus/ insect cells, in vitro transcription/ translation, or mammalian cells) chromatographic purification, and/or cell culture techniques would be advantageous.
The applicant must assist with lab responsibilities and interact with institute scientists carrying out projects in our Facility. The operating language of the institute is English. The position is initially for 2 years.
