USA: PhD in Mechanical, Materials & Aerospace Engineering at IIT

The department of Mechanical, Materials & Aerospace Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology ( www.iit.edu) is looking for two highly qualifed students who have completed their Master's degrees and would like to pursue their Ph.D. degree at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA.

The students must have a GRE general combined verbal and quantitative score of 1200+ and a TOEFL score of 100 iBT. Scuh students would be able to qualify for the two teaching assistantships awarded by the department which means that the student will not have to pay any tuition fees at IIT for his/her doctoral studies and will in addition receive a monthly stipend to help with living expenses. The application deadline for the Fall semester of August 2009, is February 1, 2009.

Interested students must complete the online application at www.grad.iit. edu
and send the following documents to Dr. Misquita
a. 3 letters of recommendation
b. Transcripts of Bachelor's & Master's degree certified in English and the native language with an explanation of the grading system
c. GRE test score - official score should be sent to IIT Chicago - Institution code 1318
d. TOEFL score - official score should be sent to IIT Chicago - Institution code 1318
e. Statement of purpose
