Dear friends and colleagues,
The European Research Council funded project The Europeanisation of Citizenship in the Successor States of the Former Yugoslavia (CITSEE) will begin work on 1 April 2009 (for five years).
Two one year posts have just been advertised, aimed principally at early career researchers from those states. They are currently advertised on www.jobs.ed. ac.uk but will appear soon on jobs.ac.uk. The closing date is 2 March 2009, and will be strictly adhered to. Applications can be made online. Although there are two posts, please encourage people to apply only for one. There can and will be crossover between the two appointments processes. The vacancy reference numbers are 3010472 and 3010474.
I would be grateful for your help in drawing these vacancies to the attention of interested parties - lawyers especially, but also those working in cognate disciplines such as political science, sociology and geography. They are suitable for early career researchers, such as those who are just embarking on a PhD programme, and have completed a masters degree.
I am pasting the details of the posts below. They are rather similar, but in one case the job description is posed in narrower terms than the one. People interested in applying should feel free to contact either me or Igor Stiks, postdoctoral fellow on this project (igorstiks@yahoo. com).
