Special Issue: The Global Impact of 1989
Co-Editors: Holly Case (Cornell University), Florian Bieber (University of Kent)
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the fall of Communist regimes in Central and Eastern Europe in 1989, Global Society is publishing a special issue devoted to the global implications of 1989. We are seeking innovative articles which examine the implications of 1989 from a number of different disciplines (such as history, political science, sociology, anthropology, economics) and which help to bring together a global perspective. We welcome both country specific articles, as well as comparative and conceptual contributions.
Please submit a 200-300 word abstract together with a short (100-200 word biography) by 30 April. We will contact you if the article is suited to themes and aims of the special issue. The final version of articles are due by 1 July and should be between 7,000 and 10,000 words and adhere to the citation style of Global Society (http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/journal.asp?issn=1360-0826&linktype=44). All articles will undergo the regular peer-review process of the journal.
Submit abstracts and articles to: Florian Bieber (f.bieber@kent. ac.uk) and Holly Case (hac27@cornell. edu).
