Following the success of the 1st International Conference “Management Challenges During Transition”, April 2009, Department of Management as a scientific research center in the Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, organizes the 2nd Conference of Management with the theme: “Innovation and Entrepreneurship – new ventures and creative solutions”
The core intent to organize this conference is to bring together academics, researchers and professional experts from different universities, specialized research institutions, professional bodies and corporate sector from various parts of the country and abroad. This conference will provide an opportunity to all of them to share and explore their new vistas of research work and successful practices, and also build a platform for discussion regarding various emerging concepts of management and entrepreneurship, and their relevance in the new era of drastic changes.
The goal of this conference is to make a real exhibition of the need for innovative and creative entrepreneurial solutions for businesses in Albania and abroad in today’s increased competition and very dynamic national and international environment. Participation of international researchers from other countries will create possibilities to exchange experiences and present a diverse dimension of business practices and research.
Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript implies that the work has not been published, accepted or is under review elsewhere. Manuscripts should be focused in the conference theme, preferably in one or some of the following areas:

Evaluation of Submissions
All articles will be evaluated on these criteria:
• Originality: Does the article contain principally original material? Does it provide new facts, insights, or knowledge to add to the body of professional literature?
• Value: Does the article make a worthwhile contribution to the field?
• Structure: Is the article clearly structured and developed?
• Credibility: Is the information presented credible, valid, and accurate?
• Length: Is the article’s length appropriate to its scope?
• Technical Material: Is technical content sufficiently clear and accessible for a general practitioner?
• Compelling Style: For its purpose, is the writing suitable, clear, informative, thoughtful, persuasive, and stimulating?
• Research: Has the material been compared to and weighed against the work of others? Does it include information gained through comparing with other professionals?
• Additional Features: Does the article include features beyond the basic text, such as sidebars, graphics, tables, and charts?
Selection Procedure
The Scientific Board reserves the right to reject/ return to the author(s) any manuscript that in their opinion is not suitable for presentation in this conference, without expressly stipulating the reasons for doing so.
Under no circumstances will the identity of the reviewer(s) and referee(s) be disclosed to the author(s) or to any other third party not involved in the selection process.
Researchers and business associations interested to participate in the conference should submit an abstract with maximum 250 words till 20 December 2009, explaining the research focus, methodology and expected results. The researchers will be notified about the approval of their abstract no later than 21 March 2010. The final paper submission deadline is 7 March 2010. The conference language is English.
Doctoral and master students, part-time faculty lecturers are particularly encouraged to submit papers relevant to the conference theme. A limited number of papers can be submitted by 3rd and 4th year students led by University Professors.

Authors guidelines:
The final paper should be written in English, length 3000 – 6000 words, using Times New Roman l2-point type, space 1.5.
In the cover page should be written the article title, with full name of author(s), present position, organizational affiliation, phone number and e-mail address. Kindly note the authors name should not be mentioned in any other page.
Author(s) must be listed in the order in which they are to appear in the published article. A 40-word (maximum) narrative on each author's specialty or interests should also appear on this page, as should any acknowledgment of technical assistance.
In the article must be clearly identified: Cover Page; Abstract; Subject key terms; JEL, Introduction; Research Methodology; Research results; Conclusions; References; Appendices. Citations in the text should include the author's last name and year of publication enclosed in parentheses without punctuation, e.g., (Johnson 1999). If practical, the citation should be placed immediately before a punctuation mark.
Otherwise, insert it in a logical sentence break. If a particular page, section, or equation is cited, it should be placed within the parentheses, e.g., (Johnson 1990, p. 15). References should be ranked alphabetically, the principal author's surname first, followed by publication date as in the following example: (Stevens B., (2001), “Cross-cultural Service Learning: American and Russian Students Learn Applied Organizational Communication,” Business Communication Quarterly, Volume 64, No.3, pp. 59-69).
Be sure that all titles cited in the text appear in the reference list and vice
versa. Please provide translations for non-English titles in references, page ranges for articles and for book chapters, and provide all authors' and editors' names (not "et al.," unless it appears that way in the publication).
Appendixes or other similar information referred by the author should be added in the end of the article. Authors are pleased to explain the acronyms, initials, abbreviations and terminology used in the article.
