U*RI offers merit scholarships to international freshmen applicants. These applicants must apply by the* *early action deadline* of *December 1, 2009*. The scholarships range in amounts from $5,000 to $12,000 per year. Please check our admission web site for details on the application process and the costs of attending. URI offers more than 80 majors in our seven degree-granting colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration (AACSB accredited), Engineering (with ABET accredited programs), Environment & Life Sciences, Human Science and Services, Nursing, and Pharmacy. Our newest major is a four year Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science, which prepares students to work in the field of research, development, marketing, manufacturing and sales in the global pharmaceutical industry.
*Our regular freshmen application deadline for fall 2010 admission is **February 1st*. Our early action, non-binding freshmen deadline is *December 1, 2009* and we encourage you to apply by this early action deadline if you are interested in Pharmacy or Nursing as a major, or if you are interested in being considered for our merit scholarship.
