RIU has appointed the LINK programme (www.innovationstudies.org) of UNU-MERIT (www.merit.unu) to act as its Central Research Team (CRT) with overall responsibility for designing and implementing its research. The CRT is headed by Dr. Andy Hall. Research in Africa is coordinated by Dr. Jeroen Dijkman. Research in Asia is coordinated by Dr. Rasheed Sulaiman.The CRT now wishes to appoint up to 6 research fellows from Asia and Africa to help study RIU´s portfolio of activities in these regions.
These positions would suit junior to middle-level research professionals who are interested in undertaking and publishing empirical research on agricultural and rural innovation. Research fellows will need to be able to work with a large degree of independence and deliver high quality written output. Support and mentoring will be provided by the CRT. Positions could be full or part-time.
Candidates should have: Research experience on agricultural and rural innovation policies and processes A recent relevant PhD is desirable, but candidates with a strong relevant publication record would also be consideredPositions could be full or part-time.
These positions will be located in the regions where RIU works. Appointments will be made as personal services agreements (PSA) with UNU-MERIT.
