International Master in Social Policy Analysis (IMPALLA)

CALL FOR APPLICANTS - International Master in Social Policy Analysis, by Luxembourg, Leuven and Associate Institutes (IMPALLA) Academic year 2006-2007

Thanks to the political and financial support of the Prime Minister and of the Minister for Education of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, CEPS/INSTEAD (the Centre d’Etudes de Populations, de Pauvreté et de Politiques Socio-Economiques - International Networks for Studies in Technology, Environment, Alternatives, Development) launched in 2002 IMPALLA - an advanced and innovative one-year master programme in social policy analysis.

In order to guarantee the academic standards of the IMPALLA programme, CEPS/INSTEAD has made a joint venture agreement with the University of Leuven (K.U. Leuven, Belgium) as a key partner. The IMPALLA programme leads to an advanced Master Degree issued by the K.U. Leuven where the IMPALLA students are registered as regular students. Meanwhile also the Universities of Nancy 2 (France), Tilburg (The Netherlands) and Luxembourg have become a part of the organizing network.

The IMPALLA‘s academic programme has three major objectives:
- to offer a solid theoretical foundation in comparative socio-economic policies, at the European level and beyond
- to provide a thorough training in advanced research methodology
- to give a well-founded expertise in policy evaluation
