CfA: National Academies Policy Fellowship Program

I am writing to remind you that the application deadline for the winter 2010 session of the National Academies Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program is fast approaching. The application and at least one reference are due by November 1st.

If you are interested in applying for the 12-week winter session and meet the eligibility requirements (see below), please activate your application by 11:59 PM on Sunday, November 1st. If you are aware of others who may be interested in this educational policy fellowship, please forward this email to them.

Eligibility
Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars and those who have completed graduate studies or postdoctoral research in any social/behavioral science, medical/health discipline, physical or biological science, any field of engineering, law/business/ public administration or any relevant interdisciplinary field within the last five years are eligible to apply.

The program takes place in Washington, D.C. and is open to all U.S. and non-U.S. citizens who meet the criteria. However, non-U.S. citizens must be currently enrolled in a U.S. university and have proof of holding a valid J-1 (must provide a DS-2019 from showing authorization for academic training) or F-1 status (may participate using curricular practical training or optional practical training.)

The online reference form must be submitted by a mentor/adviser by the deadline date; the application is not complete without the reference. References can be received in advance of the application and are valid indefinitely.

Deadlines
November 1 for the winter/spring program
May 1 for the fall program.
