The 5th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology sponsored by the American Academy of Sciences will be held on July 12-16, 2010 in Houston, Texas, USA. The conference will provide a multidisciplinary platform for environmental scientists, engineers, management professionals and government regulators to discuss the latest developments in environmental research and applications. Student Paper Award. The first author of the paper must be a full-time student when the paper is submitted for the student paper competition. Advisors and other co-authors may be listed, but the paper must be presented (either platform or poster) by the student. Student papers for the competition must be received by May 31, 2010. Winning papers will be selected in early July, 2010 and will be recognized during the
Plenary Session.

Young Scientist Paper Award. The first author of the paper must be a young scientist under 40 (born after 4/1/1969) when the paper is submitted for the Young Scientist Paper Award competition. Other co-authors may be listed, but the paper must be presented (either platform or poster) by the Young Scientist candidate. Young Scientist papers for the competition must be received by May 31, 2010. Winning papers will be selected in early July, 2010 and will be recognized during the Plenary Session.

Paper Award. Outstanding papers will be selected for the Excellent Paper Awards. Papers for competition must be received by May 31, 2010. International authors (non-North American) are especially encouraged to submit papers for the competition. Winning papers will be selected in July, 2010 and will be recognized during the Plenary Session.

Poster Award. Outstanding posters will be selected for the Poster Award during the poster presentations. Winning posters will be recognized after the Conference.
