CfA: COST ENGINEERING SEMINAR 2010, BAKU, AZERBAIJAN (21-22 May 2010)

MMC is going to organize a professional seminar titled “Seminar on Basic Quantitative Applications of Cost Control in Engineering” for the holders of different engineering positions. The course is aimed at providing useful tips, techniques and applications for the engineers in order to enable them better understand the economic, finance, accounting and mathematical concepts/tools as applied in operations / production / manufacturing / industrial engineering.

Seminar outline:
This introductory course will cover the following topics:
- Cost Minimization / optimization
- Linear Programming for Profit Maximization
- Scheduling methods and Capacity Planning
- Introduction to NPV and IRR

Language of instructions: English

Instructor: Ramin A (a Khazar University faculty member)

Ramin A. is an award-winner for Excellence in Teaching with 6 years of teaching experience. Since 2008 Ramin teaches Operations Management, Investments and Managerial Economics at the School of Economics and Management, Khazar University. Prior joining Khazar University he taught various Business and Management courses in South-East Asia.

Duration: Total 5 hours in 2 days

Course Schedule: 19.00 – 21.00 on 21 May 2010 (Friday)
15.00 – 18.00 on 22 May 2010 (Saturday)
Venue: Khazar University (downtown campus), Baku, Azerbaijan

Each participant will get printed reading materials and a certificate of participation.
There are no formal eligibility requirements.
