If you have ever dreamed of being a diplomat ThessISMUN is made for you. These 5 days are characterized by intense negotiations, discussing and drafting resolutions. For half a week the world's destiny will be in your hands. The conference 2008 will reflect the true spirit of the United Nations. For over 6 years ThessISMUN gives participants the possibility to enhance their diplomatic skills, extend their cultural empathy and develop their expertise in research, writing, public speaking and compromising as they represent the interests of the member states of the United Nations on the most pressing affairs in the global community and considering the fact that it stimulates real-life UN conferences and their Rules of Procedure. As a result delegates will be able to get closer insights into the United Nations working mechanisms, traditional negotiations, compromise and solving disputes.
