University of Maastricht Scholarships

Maastricht University aims at continuously improving its quality as a global institution. The UM Scholarship Programme enables UM to live up to this ambition, as it is intended to stimulate talented non-EEA students to pursue master's programmes in Maastricht. Within this framework, UM offers three different scholarship programmes:

UM High Potential Scholarships: provides full tuition, living expenses, visa costs, insurance and a travel reimbursement for talented students

UM company scholarships: offered in partnership with companies to provide living expenses, visa costs and insurance for talented students studying at specific faculties

Friends Make the Difference Scholarships: offered in partnership with friends of UM to provide partial tuition costs, living expenses, visa costs and insurance for students studying at Maastricht University

All applications for these scholarships should be sent to the faculty contact person before 1 April 2008. The faculties will then make a ranking list of the ten best applications which they send to the Scholsrship Office (deadline April 10th). The Scholarship Committee (which consist of 7 members, including the Dean of Maastricht University) finally decides who will be awarded a scholarship during a meeting which will take place end of April. Students will be informed regarding the results of the meeting no later than May 15th.

To demonstrate our commitment to talented students from all countries, we provide funds for the top 3% of students to study tuition-free at UM.
