Job: Two positions at the Pontis Foundation

The Bratislava-based Pontis Foundation are currently seeking two additions to our staff.

1. Public Policy Officer (Serbia and Belarus)

Candidate Profile
The Pontis Foundation are looking for a sharp, motivated and talented individual to join their Democratization and Development Abroad team, working on projects related to public policy in Serbia and Belarus. We expect the ideal candidate to be a true professional with excellent communication skills, and a flair for good organization. The position is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to make a difference.

Work and Education Experience
We are seeking a candidate with practical experience of working either in the NGO sector or with a background in analysis or journalism. Preferably we would like our new team member to have a working knowledge of politics and society in Balkans and Eastern Europe as well as understanding of transformation and integration process which the EU NMS went through in last 20 years. Professional English is a must. Knowledge of the Serbian or Russian language would be an advantage, but is not essential. The ideal candidate should have graduated in the area of politics, international relations, development, sociology, economics or journalism.

Personal Skills
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, who can express themselves confidently in both oral and written forms. Management skills would also be beneficial. The ideal candidate would be committed to the success of their project, working on budget and to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a wider team. Good computer skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently, with an attention to detail are essential requirements. The successful candidate should also have a strong desire to contribute to the activities and overall goals of the Pontis Foundation.

2. Corporate Responsibility and philanthropy officer (Balkans and Eastern Europe)

We expect the ideal candidate to be a true professional with excellent communication skills, and a flair for good organization. The position is a great opportunity for someone who is ready to make a difference.

We are seeking a candidate with practical experience of working either in the NGO, business sector or with a background in corporate responsibility related topics. Preferably we would like our new team member to have a working knowledge of politics and society in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Professional English is a must. Knowledge of the Russian language would be an advantage, but is not essential. The ideal candidate should have a University degree, preferably in the areas of political science, international relations, development, sociology or economics.
