The University of Georgia Law School`s LL.M. is essentially ffeared to providing its participants with an overview of the structure and content of law in the United States and with the opportunities of exploring specific areas of law that are of particular interest to them. The LL.M. students take most of the classes together with the U.S. students who are preparing the J.D. degree.
Threre are normally 20 to 25 LL.M. students in the LL.M. program. The relatively small number results in greater interest taken by the professors, administrators, students, and alumni in the individual LL.M. students.
The cost of study at the Law School is less than many comparable law schools in the United States. The full cost of tuition and living expenses for a year at Georgia has been less than $31,000. With the increase in costs this figure may have to be raised for the next academic year. Information on tuition and other costs for 2007-2008 will be available soon and can be requestes by applicant.
Full and partial financial assistance is available to several of the LL.M. students who are accepted into the program.
