● Who can participate?
► All people who are under 26. (born in 1983 or later)
● Format and length;;
►Your essays must be maximum 2500 words (approximately 4 pages)
►Your essay must be written with 12, “Times New Roman” and 1.5 line space.
►The language of your essays must be English.
► Your references must be cited in your essays as necessary in the footer.
● How can I submit?
► Deadline for submission of your essays is April 13th, 2008, 17.00. Your essay must be sent to unatr.youth@ gmail.com .
► The blank for e-mail subject must be filled with “ESSAY COMPETITION” with capital letter and into the main body your personal information must be written.
► Your personal information must cover your;
◙ Name and surname
◙ Occupation
◙ Age
◙ Other associations or NGO you are affiliated to
◙ Address, phone and mobile phone
● Rules;
► 2 essays will be elected.
► Deadline for submission of your essays is April 13th, 2008, 17.00.
► Each participate can only submit one essay. More than one person can work on the same essay
►Participant must be under 26 (Born in 1983 or later). There is no lower limit of age.
► Your essays must be maximum 2500 words.
►Your Essays must be written in English. Essay written in Turkish will not be accepted.
► Your references must be cited in your essays as necessary in the footer.
► Your essay must be original and previously published essays will not be accepted.
►Participants, who submit their essays, transfer right to publish the essays to UNA Turkey.
► The decision of the Jury is final and is not subject to an appeal.
► Writers of the winning essays can not demand any other award related to their success.
●Once you win;
► Your essay will be published in the spring bulletin of the UNA-Turkey, which is published twice in a year.
►This bulletin is sent to other UNAs and UNYAs. Our bulletin is put to official web-site of UNA-Turkey for use of people who wish to reach the articles.

►How do I submit my essay?
Your essay must be sent to unatr.youth@ gmail.com with you personal information.
►Who is eligible for the essay competition?
All people under 26
►May I submit my essay even if I am under 18?
There is no lower limit of age
► In which language shall I submit the essay?
Your Essays must be written in English. Essay written in Turkish will not be accepted.
►What is the length and format of the essay?
Your essays must be maximum 2500 words (approximately 4 pages).Your essay must be written with 12, “Times New Roman” and 1,5 line space.
► Am I allowed to include graphs, pictures and tables?
You can to include relevant graphs, pictures and tables. Their content will not count into the number of words in your essay. These graphs, tables and pictures must be citied accordingly.
► How will you evaluate my essay?
Your essays will be evaluated according to their originality, clarity and modest narration by our jury.
►Am I allowed to write my name in my essay?
There is no necessity to refer your name in the essay, but writing your name in the footer or header is up to you.
►Is it allowed for two or more people to work on the same essay?
Yes, it is.
► What is my award if I am one of the winners of the essay competition?
Your essay will be published in the spring bulletin of the UNA-Turkey, which is published twice in a year. Writers of the winning essays can not demand any other award related to their success.
