The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania

Established in 1881 as the first collegiate school of business, today the Wharton School possesses the largest, most-cited business school faculty working in eleven academic departments and within twenty-four research centers and initiatives. Wharton's prestigious faculty and students benefit from a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum with over 200 business courses and nineteen majors to choose from including accounting, human resource management, marketing, and operations management.

More than 37 percent of the MBA class is international in origin. Global content is integrated throughout the curriculum and the school offers a wide variety of international business programs including the Lautner Institute's dual MBA/MA in international studies. The Wharton School also offers a 3-year MBA/MA dual degree program with the Johns Hopkins University's Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC.

Approximately 30% of first-year Wharton students receive merit-based fellowships including international students.

Joseph Wharton Fellowships ranges from $10,000-$20, 000.

The European Fellowship of $15,000 is awarded yearly to applicants who are citizens of Europe.

Second year fellowships and assistantships are also available.

General Admission
- A college level education equivalent to a four year American undergraduate or baccalaureate degree.

International applicants should submit the following materials:
-Official academic records from all institutions previously attended
-TOEFL results
-Background information
-Non-refundable application fee of $225
-First time applicant essays
-Two recommendation letters, preferably from supervisors
-GMAT results
-Interviews (invitation only)
-Joint MBA/MA Lauder applicants must take a 20 minute Oral Proficiency
