12. Intelligent Virtual Agents
13. Mutual Authentication in Online Transactions
14. N-bit Integer Support for Improved Concurrency
15. Security and Integrity in Distributed Systems
16. Social and Humanoid Robots as Assistants and Companions
17. StrEq --- Programming in Equations
18. The Evolution of Emotions and their Expression in Autonomous Agents and Robots
Successful candidates may be eligible for a research studentship award from the University (equivalent to £13,290 per annum bursary plus the payment of the standard UK student fees).
Research in Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire has been recognized as excellent by the latest Research Assessment Exercise, with 55% of the research submitted being rated as world leading or internationally excellent.
