PhD Fellowship in Mathematics (Young Researcher Position), at the University of Primorska, Slovenia

The University of Primorska, Koper, Slovenia, announces one PhD Fellowship in Mathematics (Computationally Intensive Methods and Applications), under the supervision of Prof Dragan Stevanović.

The training of the Young Researcher (YR) will take place within a team that will create new mathematical software for use in chemical research. Excellent programming capabilities (C, Java, web interface) are therefore expected. The software will also be used in mathematical research of graph theoretical invariants of interest in chemistry.

Applicants should have a B.Sc. or equivalent training in Mathematics or Computer Science, and are expected to enroll in the PhD program.

The PhD Fellowships are free of tuition fee; applicants can expect a salary in the gross amount of 1368 euro. Position carries additional yearly expenses as well (for computer equipment, conference attendance etc). The PhD Fellowships will be financed for a maximum duration of three years and six months.
