CfP: Romanian Journal of Political Science (PolSci), DL 30.11.2011

Submissions are now accepted for the next issues of the biannual Romanian Journal of Political Science (PolSci) edited by the Romanian Academic Society (http://www.sar. PolSci is indexed by ISI Thompson under the Social Sciences Citation Index and by other prominent institutions such as IPSA, GESIS, EBSCO, CEEOL and ProQuest. Previous PolSci contributors include Francis Fukuyama, Larry Diamond or Philippe Schmitter, as well as a significant number of young researchers.

The winter issue of PolSci is open to contributions from Romanian and foreign social scientists of different backgrounds (political science, history, sociology, etc.). We are mainly interested in theory-grounded papers based on solid empirical work. Contributions drawing upon inferential analysis are especially encouraged, as are papers from fields currently under-covered, such as comparative politics, public policy, political economy, political psychology. Foreign policy scientists writing on Romanian or broader Central and Eastern European issues are also encouraged to contribute.

The publishing language is English. The recommended length of an article submitted for publication is between 5000 and 8000 words (book reviews should be no longer than 1000 words). The articles submitted should be edited in Times New Roman, 12 font size and 1.5 lines spacing. References and citations will preferably follow the HarvardStyle. Your submission must be accompanied by the following information:

name and surname of the author(s);
institution and position held;
research interests (max 50 words/ author);
abstract (200-250 words);
keywords (max 5).

Please submit your work saved as a Microsoft Word document at robefore the 30 of November, midnight Central European Time. Please note that we will not review manuscripts that have already been published, are scheduled for publication elsewhere, or have been simultaneously submitted to another journal. The POLSCI selection board is committed to ensuring a timely selection process and informing the authors of the selection process outcome in 20 days or less from the call deadline. The Romanian Academic Society requires the assignment of copyright.
