ENE offers empirical research to support decision-making by government and industry. Research within
ENE draws upon tools from management science, finance and theories for dynamic decision making under uncertainty.
- Management Science (MS - https://www.nhh.no/en/departments/business-and-management-science/management-science) is the application of tools, such as operational research, simulation, optimisation, game theory, econometrics/statistics and applied mathematics to help decision making in businesses and government. The field uses applied and theoretical studies, with a focus on logistics, energy, health, election methods, the environment, natural resources, fisheries and transportation.
