The Klaipeda College of Social Sciences is looking for partners from POLAND
and KALININGRAD for INTERREG TACIS project.
The title of the project is:"Regional image formation for regional identity
strengthening"
Nite: this is the interim title, later it will be corrected and specified.
The objectives of the project:
- To perform historical studies and research activities for identifying the most valuable cultural heritage of Prussia in the territories of Lithuania, Poland, Kaliningrad region of Russian federation;
- To prepare and publish a book "Cultural heritage of Prussia", presenting cultural heritage of the cross border former Prussia region for Lithuania, Poland and Russia community;
- To develop a documentary "Following pathways of Prussia giants" about the most famous people, their relations different cultures, their importance to Lithuania, Poland, and Kaliningrad region of Russian federation, and present it to community;
- To organize and implement the first traditional international scientific conference in the field of cultural heritage, regional cooperation and development.
Project will consist from 6 main activities:
1.. Project management and dissemination Aim of the activity - to ensure effective coordination and implementation of project activities, together with information and publicity measures.
2.. Working meetings of Project partnersAim of the activity - to organize effective collection, filing and analysis of Prussia cultural heritage scientific material.
3.. Web link and internal page developmen. Aim of the activity - to develop web link in the website of project lead partner, what would direct internet user to the project related site.
d.. Preparation and publishing of a book "Cultural heritage of Prussia". Aim of the activity - to prepare and publish a book titled "Cultural heritage of Prussia".
e.. Development of documentary "Following pathways of Prussia giants". Aim of the activity - to develop documentary "Following pathways of Prussia giants".
f.. Organization of international scientific conference. Aim of the activity - to organize and implement the first traditional international conference in the cultural heritage, regional development and cooperation thematic.
Implementation
Implementation of this project will display how interrelation of different cultures in Lithuania-Poland-Kaliningrad region of Russian federation cross border territory, former Prussia, enriched cultural heritage of this region of nations and made its contribution to the world cultural heritage.
Former Prussia region still has a stereotype of opposing cultures' field. Project will reflect the cross border community that history of Prussia, as battlefield of different cultures, does not demonstrate real historical true. Information what will be collected, systematically analysed and presented during the project dissemination campaign, publishing, developing documentary or implementing the first traditional international conference, will strengthen cultural cooperation of communities, regional identity, neighbourhood approaches, what will foster cross border ooperation.
