Call for Expressions of Interest -- Positions for specialised scientific and technical staff in the "European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy" ('Fusion for Energy')
The European Commission is looking for staff with a wide range of expertise interested in joining the European Joint Undertaking for ITER and the Development of Fusion Energy ('Fusion for Energy'), which will be established by a decision of the Council of Ministers of the European Union, expected to be taken before the end of 2006. 'Fusion for Energy' will have its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. This new
European Joint Undertaking will act as the European Domestic Agency for ITER and its main task will be to interface with the ITER Organisation and to provide the European contribution to the ITER project, one of the largest international scientific experiments ever conceived. The actual commencement of operations of 'Fusion for Energy' is expected in the first quarter of 2007.
