Beschreibung:
Do you want to help develop innovative and environmentally friendly refrigeration technologies for the future?
The Fuel Cells and Solid State Chemistry Department at Risø National Laboratory is seeking a Ph.D. student to model and develop permanent magnets for use in magnetic refrigeration.
When a magnetic material is placed in an external magnetic field, its temperature rises. This socalled magnetocaloric effect may be used in a refrigeration system where the active component is a magnetocaloric substance subjected to repeated magnetizations and demagnetizations.
You will be part of a group working at the international front line of room-temperature magnetic refrigeration. We have just received funding for a 4-year project with the aim of developing a workable prototype.
Ph.D. for modelling and development of permanent magnets for magnetic refrigeration
Ph.D. for development of materials for magnetic refrigeration
Ph.D. for synthesis of materials for magnetic refrigeration
Ph.D. for modelling of active magnetic regenerators for magnetic refrigeration
Postdoc for modelling of magnetic refrigeration
We must have your application by February 05, 2007.
