Attic Arts is a residency programme at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London offering time (up to 2 months) and space (the bohemian attic room of the Institute) for Romanian artists from various humanist fields to work in a major urban centre that provides a distinctive mix of cultures, of ethnic communities, of tradition and innovation in the realms of art, performance, technology, media and urban planning. The artists have the opportunity to experience the unique London environment, research innovative ideas, create new work and network with professionals in the field. Concurrently, the resident artists will create work inspired by and for the ICR London space, which will subsequently be presented in this space (for instance: drawing, photography, installation, space conversion etc).
The selection of applicants is made by a board chaired by the Director of the Romanian Cultural Institute in London. Board members include: the ICR London Arts Manager and a UK based British professional for each relevant field. Application deadlines: 30 January 2007 and 15 June 2007.
The successful applicants will be notified within 15 days from the submission deadlines.
