The Transportation Research Institute (IMOB) of Hasselt University has the following vacancy (m/f):
Researcher Traffic Science wage scale 501 or 502 (depending on experience - mandate BEDR/2007/008- HO-2
The researcher will be involved in European research on public transport an has affinity with cost-benefit analysis and socio-economic research. He/she will work autonomously but in close consultation with the other members of the applied research team.
The Transportation Research Institute carries out fundamental as well as applied research in the domains of traffic safety and transportation (travel behaviour, traffic modelling). The research will further reinforce the applied research unit. This research units conducts research for higher authorities and is active in several European research programmes. Topics that are dealt with are traffic safety, travel behaviour, public transport, bicycle policy, mobility management.
Diploma and profile
He/she has an university diploma or an equivalent to that and has strong interest in mobility policy. Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis an statistical programs (SAS or SPSS) is a plus. Knowledge of the English language is essential. Experience in the mobility sector is a plus.
This vacancy offers a contract of indefinite duration. Senior students are also encouraged to apply for this vacancy.
