The History Department of the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track position in modern Eastern European History, at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is a new position that will complement our existing strengths in Balkan, Russian, and German history. Candidates must have a Ph.D in hand or have their defense scheduled before July 31, 2009.
