Summer School “Achievements and Applications of Contemporary Informatics, Mathematics and Physics”

The National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Student Science Association of NTUU “KPI” invite students, postgraduates and young scientists to take part in thescientific-educational project Summer School – 4th “Achievements and Applications ofContemporary Informatics, Mathematics and Physics” (AACIMP-09).

The aim of the Summer School is popularization of science among youth owing to many years of collaboration with international scientific centers and educational institutions, leading technicalcompanies and also due to informational activities in the sphere of youth science.


The target audience of scientific-educational project “Summer School”:


- educated socially-active youth that strives to self-development that is interested in contemporary science and in future plans to realize themselves in the research field;

- lecturers will be able to find among the project participants their future colleagues, coauthors, students;


During four years Student Science Association of NTUU “KPI” has beet promoting dissemination of European educational traditions among young scientists. The project is based on use of effective andinnovational teaching methods and on presenting the most progressive fields of contemporary science:mathematics, physics, astrophysics, space research, neurocybernetic, system biology, chemoinformatics, sustainable development, informational technologies, modelling in different spheres etc.

The Summer School participants will be able to chose academic disciplines, evaluate efficiency of various teaching methods – from usual lectures and practical trainings to presentations and group work,communication with leading scientists and researchers from Ukraine, Europe and CIS countries.

This year the outstanding recognized scientists from Ukraine, Netherland, Germany, Turkey, Sweden, and Russia have been invited to give a course of lectures in the Summer School. They are:Prof. Gerhard Wilhelm Weber (Turkey), Institute of Applied Mathematics, a board member of Europeanoperations research organization EUROPT; Prof. Boris Goldengorin (The Netherlands), University of Groningen, Institute of System Analysis, Russian Academy of Sciences; Prof. Elena Podladchikova (Belgium),Royal Observatory of Belgium, laureate of international reward of named after Zeldovich; Dr. Igor Tetko(Germany), Institute of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, Helmholtz Zentrum München and others.


Apart from the educational program, the social one is prepared for the Summer School participants: intellectual games, debates, brain-ring, excursions in the most beautiful and mysterious sights of Kyiv,movie nights, visits to museums, quest around the KPI campus.


Working language of the project – English, Ukrainan, Russian.
