Merit Scholarships at Boston University

At Boston University international students are eligible for several merit scholarships.

All applicants are considered for the University Scholarship and Engineering Scholars Award.

University Scholarships are awarded by the Board of Admissions to students with exceptional academic records. This four-year, half-tuition, renewable scholarship reflects Boston University's commitment to excellence in academic achievement.

Recipients' average high school GPA: 3.90
Average rank in class: top 4 percent
Average SAT I score: 1445 (ACT: 32)

Engineering Scholars
Engineering Scholarships are awarded by the Board of Admissions to students applying to the College of Engineering with exceptional academic records. This four-year, half-tuition, renewable scholarship reflects Boston University's commitment to excellence in academic achievement.

Recipients' average high school GPA: 3.90
Average rank in class: top 3 percent
Average SAT I score: 1452 (ACT: 31)
