Carleton College, Minnesota - Mellon post-doctoral teaching fellowship

Two-year teaching fellowship available in the Department of Art and Art History to begin August 31, 2007. The candidate must have received a Ph.D in art history with specialization in Islamic art within the past five years. Appointment involves half-time teaching and half-time for research and writing. Teaching obligations would likely include participation in the Introduction to Art History (World Art) courses, an introductory course dealing with Islamic art and architecture, and a more advanced course in the candidate's specialty area. We are particularly interested in a candidate who would also be able to teach architectural history and/or European
medieval art history. Carleton will offer a competitive salary, health and other benefits.
