The third edition of the Romanian International University Fair will take place on March 10th and 11th from 10:00AM to 18:00PM at the National Theatre in Bucharest. RIUF, as the premier event of its kind in Romania, is dedicated to the Romanian young interested in international educational opportunities.
More than 100 participants from 20 countries will interact with at least 7000 expected visitors, including high-school and college students, young professionals, teachers and parents, educational advisers, high-school and university management personnel (principals, headmasters, deans and rectors), government officials, mass-media. The participants will include universities (with undergraduate, master and MBA programs) from around the world, along with embassies from the countries where the universities are located, financers of educational programs and different organizations that support prospective students in their application efforts.
The purposes of the fair are:
To give potential applicants a chance to learn about international study opportunities from trustworthy sources of information;
To inform students about organizations and companies that can help them apply to international programs;
To provide international university and college representatives with a turn-key event at a very low cost where they can meet with well prepared prospective students
In addition to the exhibitors, visitors will have the chance to participate in over 30 related secondary events including: workshops (that will focus on discussions with young Romanians that are students or graduates of foreign universities and are able to give an insight about studying abroad: necessary steps in the application process, preparation for standardized tests, financing sources, social life and the impact of an international academic experience on their lives; seminars (which are held mainly by representatives of international informational and cultural organizations that support students in applying to academic institutions from the countries they represent); private sessions are dedicated to universities, master and MBA programs that are interested in presenting at large (1 hour) their courses, teachers, benefits and incentives offered by their institutions, particularities that differentiate them from competition, career and academic opportunities available for their graduates etc.
Building on the extraordinary media success of the previous editions the promotional campaign of RIUF 2007 will be improved to include more promotional channels, will expand the relation with the existing media partners and will offer an array of informational resources to any individual or organization (traditional media, bloggers, info-centers etc) interested in exploring the realm of study-abroad prospects.
