New Journal in 2008
Sociological Crossovers
The main idea of the journal Sociological Crossovers is to promote and emanate interdisciplinary approaches in social sciences, stressing out the use of sociological theory and methods in investigating the phenomena which are not traditionally comprehended by this discipline.
The intention of the journal is to promote the work of graduate and postgraduate students and young researchers in the field of social sciences, and furthermore to help them make new connections with individuals, universities and research institutions on the regional, European and global level.
Call for Papers
Topic of the First Issue:
City: Dimensions and Perspectives
Topics we are especially interested in are:
· Global and world cities
· Transformation of the modern city
· Urban politics
· Cities and environmental sustainability
· Visual identity of the city
· City and sub-cultures
· Social mobility, inequality and the city
Apart from these topics, feel free to contact us if your work covers any related topic that stands in the broad frame of exploring the city.
You may send us your papers on Serbian/Croatian/ Bosnian or English language. Please submit your abstract of the paper to the Editorial board by e-mail. You can send the complete paper simultaneously, or in a time of a month, where in the meantime you can get the feedback from the Board. In order to get acquainted with preferred style of supplying references please contact the editor.
Deadline for abstracts: 1st of May, 2008
Deadline for papers: 1st of June, 2008
We also invite young colleagues to send their works that are not strictly connected with our topic of the issue, in which case please send us complete paper before 1st of May.
