GEF - Now in its tenth year - The World Festival of Creativity in Schools Finals at ARISTON Theatre - Sanremo, Italy, May 7 - 11 2008

Next edition of GEF will be very important next year because it is the 10th year and we have a lot of request of applicants.
The schools must send the material requested for every competition before the 29th February 2008. The finals will be from 7th to 11th May 2008 in Teatro Ariston (1.908 places) and Palafiori (exibition area and meetings).
With GEF, the Schools from all the world can send their projects for participate to the competition "Da Vinci's Secrets" and let know to all the people the work done in the school. The application for this competition is free.
Normally a School participate with different groups of students to different competitions.

The GEF events are divided in following arguments:

c.. SOLIDARITY AND SOCIAL AWARENESS
d.. EDUCATION AND SPORTS
e.. SPECIAL PRIZES
f.. EXHIBITION AREA
During the final stages we also organize meetings, seminars, workshops both national and international.
What is GEF?
GEF, The World Festival of Creativity in Schools, is a festival for students, aged 5 - 19 years, and their teachers, where they can compete with other students from the whole world participating in competitions such as exhibitions and performances of the Arts included in its programme.
A very important and unique international event of Creativity in Schools.
Last edition
Last years finals were under the patronage of "Comune di Sanremo" and supported by European Parliament, by the most important Ministers and also by UNESCO and UNICEF.
For the finals, GEF 2007, the participants were 3.000 with 7500 hotel nights and over 18,000 visitors and audiences visited the exhibition areas and the performances by schools from 33 Italian provinces and 21 schools from other Countries.
The last three years increase of participants of GEF has been 75%.
Last years guests: Annalisa Minetti, Antonio Ricci, Ida Di Benedetto.

Not only the most important national and international newspapers but also televisions and radios RAI 1, RAI 2, RAI Educational, Canal 5, Italia 1, La 7, Primocanale, Telecupole, RTL, TR2SAT (SKY), TV Radio Capodistria, Radio 1, Radio 103, Radio Amicizia did speak about GEF.
For the first time ever a school after winning the"Schools Festival of Music" in GEF has also participated in the "Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo". It was a school from Scampia, Napoli.
Some students participating in the "International Festival of Dance for schools" has been admitted to the Dance Company "Ariston Proballet".
