We are glad to invite you this summer to Poland to participate in the [lucky seven!] 7th Zabinki International Student Camp (August 22-30, 2008).
This year our camp has been awarded the European Charlemagne Youth Prize National Winner [more information: http://www.e-adagio.eu/CYP/ CYPintro_ en.html], co-granted by the European Parliament.
ISC Zabinki is an extraordinary international event that has been organized every August since 2002 among lakes and forests of Mazuria -one of the most beautiful regions of Poland. The camp gathers over 100 young people (aged 18-30) from all around Europe and its program fosters on non-formal education, integration of young people from different parts of Europe, and summer fun!
The camp is one of the most popular summer events in Europe ! Its main goal is to create an international community of young people and to give them an opportunity to make friends, learn new skills and gain better understanding of cultural diversity.
Zabinki is different than traditional summer camps. Every time you have 3-4 different options of what you can do, so you can choose what you like in the moment. There is a lot of workshops on European issues, culture, environment, negotiations, simulation games and so on. But if you don't feel like doing anything of those, you can always choose suntanning on a beach, canoeing (beautiful rivers and likes around), biking, volleyball, bus trips to interesting places of former East Prussia, paintball war games, workshops on cooking (tiramisu ? pierogi ?) or photography.
