SFSU Edward B. Kaufmann Scholarship
San Francisco State University

The scholarship intends to support classified graduate and undergraduate students pursuing a degree within the College of Humanities other than the Department of Humanities. Majors in the Department of Humanities are prohibited from applying for the College of Humanities Kaufmann scholarship. Majors in the Department of Humanities are eligible to = apply to the Departmental Kaufmann Scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements:
- essay;
- 2 recommendation letters from faculty;
- transcript;
- min GPA of 3.25 for undergrads, 3.5 for grads

For the department scholarship:
Grad applicants must have already completed 6 units toward the Humanities M.A. degree by the time of application, must be enrolled in at least 3 units at the time of application and at the time of receipt, and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Undergrad applicants must have completed 12 units toward the B.A. in Humanities, and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Requirements:
- Cover sheet;
- unofficial transcript;
- 2 letter of recommendation from Humanities Dep't. faculty members;
- statement on the significance of the Humanities M.A. program to applicant;
- statement of financial need.
