The faculty of Geosciences offers a wide spectrum of education and research concerning the geosphere, biosphere, atmosphere and antroposphere. The faculty enjoys international acclaim, both proven by our many graduates who have achieved important positions at leading foreign universities and the large number of visiting scientists. Job description

Within a collaborative project with Göteborg University there is a postdoc-position vacant on:

Redox-dependent burial of phosphorus in Baltic Sea sediments

In this project, we will use a reactive transport model and recent field data to assess the role of redox-dependent sediment burial of phosphorus for the availability of this nutrient in the water column of the Baltic Sea.




Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in mathematical modeling and a PhD-degree in geochemistry, geology, oceanography, environmental sciences or a related field.




Terms of employment

We offer a full-time postdoc position for 1 year with monthly salary starting at
€ 2.740.- and depending on the background and experience of the candidate. We also offer a pension scheme, a health insurance allowance and flexible employment conditions. Conditions are based on the Collective Employment Agreement of the Dutch Universities and are supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8 % per year.
