CfA: International Student Week, Challenge of Changes, Belgrade, 9-16th August 2009

The third *International Student Week in Belgrade - ISWiB 2009*, will be held from *9th to 16th August 2009* in the capital of Serbia. This year's conference motto is *"Challenge of Changes"*.

Two hundred students from all parts of Europe will gather together in Belgrade to participate in various educational, cultural and entertaining activities - interactive workshops, lectures, panel discussions, as well as in the cultural events and parties. Participants will be given a chance to exchange their opinions and attitudes with their European colleagues and eminent national and international experts on some of the most interesting contemporary issues.

ISWiB lecturers and workshop leaders are experienced trainers, postgraduate students, international experts, and university professors.

In seven days of ISWiB 2009 participants will have opportunity to get to know one of the oldest European cities, to meet Serbian culture and traditions, as well as modern life style of young people in Serbia.

Applicants are offered to join one of the following workshops:

2. Environmental Protection
3. Economics
4. Health
5. Human Rights
6. Media
7. Society
8. Youth Activism
9. Photography
10. Filmmaking*

Eligible to apply for ISWiB 2009 are all European students (undergraduate, recent graduate and postgraduate) and all students from non-European countries studying in Europe at the moment of application. All fields of study are welcome. Applicants must be fairly good in both oral and written English. No other special requirements. All who apply for ISWiB must be 18 years old by the time the festival begins.

Participation Fee is 50€ ’ for foreign participants and 25€ ’ for the
participants from Serbia. The fee covers food, accommodation and workshop materials. Travel expenses to and from Serbia, visa expenses (if participant needs one to enter Serbia), as well as the personal expenses and pocket money must be covered by participants. ISWiB 2009 and its organizers do not provide any travel and financial support.

The project of International Student Week in Belgrade is originated, organized and led by a student and youth association *World Youth Wave* from Belgrade.

ISWiB is a member of *SOrCE* (Students Organizing Conventions Everywhere), an international network of student festivals, organized across Europe. Conferences are independent from each other but the underlying idea of them all is the same - to gather young people from around the world, to discuss present issues and to get to know different opinions and views, to meet people of different cultures and to make friendships and contacts worldwide.
