CfP: Crossroads, Macedonian Foreign Policy Journal Vol. 2 No. 2

Hereby, the Board of Editors of Crossroads, Macedonian Foreign Policy Journal established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia announces:

Call for Papers

Crossroadsis a foreign policy journal which is published three times per year and has non-commercial purposes. Our journal providesa unique blend of theoretical, academic, analytical policy papers and essays relevant to the foreign policy of the Republic of Macedonia. It also covers issues of regional political and economic development and it is discussing on events at the regional, European and the global stage.

Crossroads provides reflections and offers visions for steering the future course
of Macedonian foreign policyin light of its European and Euro-Atlantic dimensions and tendencies for global integration. Through Macedonian Embassies, Crossroads is
distributed internationally and is available atinternational institutions, foreign government bodies, policy thinktanks and NGO’s as well as university libraries..

Such distinguished writers and politicians have contributed to our journal as: Javier Solana, Olli Rehn, Michel Rocard, Alain Lamassoure, Jerzy Buzek, Eduard Kukan, Stijepan Mesic, Dimitrij Rupel, Danilo Türk, Andrew Duff, Suleyman Demirel, Jaap deHoopScheffer, Mark Grossman, Wolfgang Petritsch, Elisabeth Rehn, Srgjan Kerim, Charles A. Kupchan, MartinErdmann, Leszek Balcerowicz, Pascal Lamy, Jacques Diouf, Hido Biscevic, etc. We are proud of this list of world-renowned scholars, thinkers, professionals and experts.

Our next of Crossroads will open a debate on the values of the religions in the world and will focus on the importance of the dialogue, understanding and cooperation, between religions as an important component for a democratic, safe, peaceful and prosperous world. It will seek the answer to the question on how we can use our diversity as a tool to promote understanding, tolerance and our common values, in order to bridge polarization between societies and religions and at the same time to preserve the wealth of our religious identities in an ever more globalized world.

Anyone interested in contributing to this issue of Crossroads, MFPJ should submit a brief summary (200-300 words) and a Résumé or Curriculum Vitae not later than March, 20 2010. The final deadline for submitting the final version of the article is March, 25 2010. Articles that meet the standards and criteria of Crossroads, MFPJ would be considered for publishing in the Crossroads to be released in May 2010. The format is 6-20 pages long, 1.5 space, and font size 12, written in English.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or reject any submission made with respect to the standards and criteria it sets.
