I wanted to write to you regarding the Duquesne University SUMMER HEALTH INSTITUTE. As you may already know, this is a wonderful, *free of charge, one week experience* from July 11 – 17, 2010 for rising high school Juniors and Seniors interested in the Health Sciences.
It includes classes and hands-on experience in: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Biology and Medicine. It includes hospital department shadowing and a tour of the McGowan Medical Research Center…. Not to mention a city tour, an evening at a local theme park and plenty of other fun evening activities. All students stay on campus in dormitories. All students must pay for the air fare to and from Pittsburgh.

Due to a large amount of recent interest, we have extended the deadline to Monday *March 29, 2010*.
Please just let me know if you have any students interested in the program so that I have an idea of numbers. (They can fax or scan their documents to me by the deadline and then mail the originals afterwards). For students who have already applied, we will have admission decisions for them at the beginning of April.
