Description:
The Department of Language and Linguistic Science at the University of York has an AHRC Doctoral Studentship in any area of Linguistics and a Teaching Studentship in either Phonetics or Language Variation and Change to award to students entering the PhD programme in September 2011.
Applications for the AHRC Doctoral Studentship must be received by 2 March 2011. Applications for the Teaching Studentship must be received by 30 April 2011.
We also have a Master's scholarship for the new MA in Phonological Development in Childhood to offer for study beginning September 2011. Scholarship applications must be received by 30 April 2011.
The PhD awards provide three years' full-time fees and maintenance for Home/EU students, and the Master's scholarship offers a tuition fee waiver (at the home/EU rate). The scholarship covers one year of full time registration.
